Drivers wanting to use Othello Road next week might want to reconsider an alternative route; the road will be closed from March 24 to April 10 due to Trans Mountain Pipeline Expansion Project (TMX) construction.
In a notice given to the District of Hope on Monday morning (March 13), TMX says that “there will be a full closure of Othello Road from the junction at Kawkawa Lake Road to the BlueTriton facility with local and construction traffic permitted to enter the restricted road section only.”
Residents who live east of the road closure will “be directed to detour via the Coquihalla Highway via Exit 183” with detour signs in place.
Othello Road will be fully reopened once pipeline construction there is complete.
