The Fraser River has started to freeze over from the arctic temperatures blasting through the Fraser Valley.

Icy temperatures will remain today, according to Environment Canada, which has had an arctic-outflow warning in place for days for the Lower Mainland.

They estimate light snow will add to the freeze overnight, with windchill values around the -10 to -20 degree Celsius range.
