Police seized what they believe to be heroin, fentanyl and other illicit substances from a Hope home Wednesday.

Six people were arrested after police executed a warrant on a home in the 900 block of 3 Avenue. The operation took place Wednesday, March 18 at around 10:30 a.m. Five of the people were released and the sixth was kept on an unrelated matter said Cpl. Mike Rail of the RCMP’s Upper Fraser Valley Regional Detachment.

Police seized what they suspect to be heroin, fentanyl, cocaine and methamphetamine as well as “drug trafficking paraphernalia.” Rail was not able to detail what amounts of each substance was seized.

No charges have yet been laid in relation to the bust. After a “thorough investigation” Rail said documents will be forwarded to the Public Prosecution Service of Canada, this is when charges would be laid.

With the ongoing response to the coronavirus pandemic, B.C. courts have suspended regular operations. When this matter will come before the courts is unclear at this time.
