RCMP are asking for help to find a missing Hope man.

Serge Joseph Sauvé was last seen Aug. 3. The 68-year-old was spotted at the Hudson Bay Trail near the Othello exit of Highway 5.

He was carrying a backpack that held enough equipment for an extended backcountry experience. As investigators search for Sauvé, they believe he may be hiking the backcountry between Hope and Princeton.

“Police and friends are concerned for Serge’s well-being,” said RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Mike Rail.

Sauvé is described as Caucasian, standing five-foot-seven and weighing 201 pounds with brown eyes and brown/grey hair.

Anyone who knows where he may be is asked to call the RCMP at 604-869-7750 or dial Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
