RCMP seek dash-cam footage after Chilliwack road rage incident

Chilliwack Mounties are asking for assistance with dash camera video following an alleged road rage incident at the Lickman-Luckakuck roundabout last week.

On June 16 at approximately 3:30 p.m., a motorist went to the Chilliwack RCMP detachment to report the incident that occurred at the traffic circle 15 minutes before.

Another motorist travelling through the Lickman Road roundabout was cut off by the operator of a black truck towing a black dump trailer who then blocked the road, grabbed the first motorist and threatened to punch the victim.

Frontline officers responded to the report and conducted patrols of the area however did not locate the black truck.

Police are reaching out to motorists who were travelling on Lickman Road and Luckakuck Way on June 16 between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 pm. who may have witnessed the stopped vehicles or obtained dash-cam video to contact the Chilliwack RCMP.

“It is fortunate that no one was injured during the incident,” Chilliwack RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Mike Rail said. “We are reaching out to motorists who may have captured images of the incident and the driver of the black truck to contact police.”
