Trucks collide at Highway 1 entrance in Hope

Two pick-ups showing front end damage, police report there are no fatalities

A two-vehicle crash in Hope blocked traffic for some time on Tuesday morning as crews sorted out the mess.

RCMP said on scene that there were no fatalities in the crash, which involved two pick-up trucks. But they would not confirm if there were any serious injuries, or how the accident occurred.

At the scene, one truck was facing the wrong direction in the on-ramp to Highway 1 westbound off Water Street. The other truck sat at the intersection facing south. Both front ends were destroyed and one vehicle hit a directional sign in a barrier.
