Vehicle fire on Coquihalla northbound, crews are en route

Right lane is closed and Drive BC is urging drivers to slow down approaching the scene

Drivers are reporting a truck fire on the Coquihalla Highway as crews close off the right lane of the highway near Falls Lake.

Drive BC reported a vehicle incident northbound on Highway 5 at around 10:30 a.m. Crews are en route, Drive BC tweeted, and urged drivers to slow down on approach to the incident.

Several drivers reported a vehicle fire, with one person tweeting that there was a “pretty intense car fire” they had just driven past. Another driver took a photo of the burning vehicle stating that there was a truck fire just past the Snowshed.
