VIDEO: Harrison Lake rock slide caught on camera

The slide is not impacting the eastern forest service roads

A rock slide on the east side of Harrison Lake was caught on camera Wednesday (Jan. 13).

The slide took place around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, and Abbotsford resident Tery Kozma caught the action on camera from the Bremner Trio Hydro camp.

The forest service roads on the eastern side of the lake have not been impacted by the slide, as the roads stop before the affected area.

Further up the Sts’ailes Forest Service Road on the west side of Harrison Lake, another slide has come down the mountain because of heavy rain.

The rock slide impacted the service road around the 54 km mark, and although the road is open the terrain is unstable. Drivers are asked to not stop at that location.
