NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING to consider Official Community Plan Amendment Bylaw 1545 and Zoning AmendmentBylaw No. 1546 for the property at 22555 Trans-Canada Highway; Hope, BC

MONDAY, MARCH 27, 2023 AT 6:30 PM

IN COUNCIL CHAMBERS, MUNICIPAL HALL

Pursuant to Section 465 of the Local Government Act, notice is hereby given that at the above referenced meeting, Council will hear the views of the public in order to assist them in deciding whether the proposed amendment bylaws should proceed.

Intent of the Proposed Amendment Bylaws

To re-designate the property at 22555 Trans-Canada Highway from Limited Use to Country Residential and rezone the same parcel from Rural (RU-1) to Country Residential (CR-1) in order to allow for a future two lot subdivision.

Legal Description and Location of the Subject Property (see location map below)

Legal Subdivision 21 Section 21 TWP 5 RGE 26 W6M YDYD Except Parcel A (N23340F); PID 014-651-530.

If you require an explanation on the bylaw amendments or would like to view the staff report and bylaws, please contact the District of Hope Planning Department at 604-869-5671 between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday excluding Statutory Holidays. Staff’s entire report to Council can also be viewed in the February 27, 2023 Council Agenda package available on the District of Hope website at www.hope.ca.

The public is also welcome to attend the March 27, 2023, 6:30 pm Public Hearing to be held in Council Chambers, 325 Wallace Street, Hope, BC and make your views known to Council when the Mayor asks for comments from the public.
