Antonietta Matilde Linza passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side, after a lengthy battle with cancer on June 4, 2005. She was born on April 3, 1934 in Scigliano, Italy and came to Hope in 1953. Matilde was predeceased by her husband Ernesto.
She is survived by her children: John (Denise), Lucia, Franco (Marlene) and grandchildren: Byron, Jason, Camille, Laura and Fraser. Mass for Matilde will be celebrated on Friday, June 10, 2005 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Hope with Father David Hughes officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Matilde's memory.
