Chui Lin ‘Betty’ Wong
Nov. 11, 1946 – Nov. 29, 2008
After a long battle Betty lost her fight with cancer and passed away on November 29, 2008 with her family at her side.
She was predeceased by her husband Frank Wong, son Norman Wong and mother Wan Szeto.
Betty is survived by her children: Helen (Steve), Julie (Tom), grandchildren: Britney and Tyler, and friend Alva.
Betty arrived in Canada in 1966. Shortly after she and her husband Frank took on the venture of being owner/operators of Kan Yon Restaurant. This lasted for over twenty years and many lasting friendships came of this.
She enjoyed her family very much! Hanging out with her grandchildren Britney and Tyler was a highlight of her life. She loved to travel, mostly to hot warm places; but would go anywhere if travelling was involved. Playing cards and her aqua-fit classes were important to her. When she couldn’t do her classes she still would go and have coffee with the ladies.
Many thanks to Dr. Nyirenda, the nursing and hospice staff at the Fraser Canyon Hospital, family and friends.
