Dale Kjemhus passed away suddenly on January 6 due to complications from a recent surgery. His death has left a deep void in the hearts of his family and friends that dearly loved him.
Dale was the consummate family man. He was always willing to help other people, but his family was his first priority.
He leaves behind his wife, Trisha, and his three adult sons, Tyler, Kyle, and Robert, who reflect the very best of their father. He also loved his amazing daughters-in-law, Sarah and Taylor. If there was a prize for proudest grandpa, Dale would have won. Kaylin, Finn, and Joel melted his heart and he cherished every moment he spent with them.
After his retirement from the RCMP in 2011, Dale took up dragon boating with a passion. He was an active paddler and executive member of the Fraser Valley Paddling Club until December 2020. Being on the water was his happy place and his paddling family was extremely important to him.
A small private service was held on Thursday, January 14. Many thanks to our brothers and sisters from the Grace Baptist Church who are keeping us well fed and uplifted in prayer. We also greatly appreciate the heartwarming response from friends, family, and community members who have called and left messages of love and support.
