July 24, 1932 - February 3, 2019
Donald Appel passed away on February 3, 2019 at Fraser Hope Lodge at the age of 84. He was Born July 24, 1934 in Agassiz.

Don spent most of his years in Hope B.C. He was the Bread Delivery Man, Bus Driver, and Owner/ Operator of Canyon Taxi. He knew everyone and loved to go for coffee at any hour.

Don is survived by his children, Dawn Lynn Sanderson and Marie (Johann Henneveld) Appel; grandchildren Brandi (Matt) McAllister Travis (Stephanie) Sanderson; great-grandchildren Kiara and Cason McAllister. Don will be lovingly remembered by siblings Mollie Sand, Pat Appel and Margaret (Tom) McDonald. He was predeceased by his wife Elsie, siblings Madeline Rowan, Francis (Diane) Appel and Tony (Ann) Appel. Uncle Donnie (The Fun Uncle) will be greatly missed by his numerous nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to the caregivers and nurses at Fraser Hope Lodge. We are grateful for how they treated him like family. It is comforting to know how much he was loved by the staff.
