Doug was born in Regina, SK on July 10, 1946, had resided in Hope for over 50 years and passed away on Oct 12, 2021.
Left to grieve are his wife Val, sons Doug Jr and Gordie, step-children Desiree, Darryl and Danielle, his sisters Fran and Geordy, 16 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was totally loved by all and will be missed forever.
Doug worked a full and varied career as a mechanic, heavy duty mechanic, driller/ blaster, rock truck driver and tank drill operator, somewhat of a Jack of all trades.
Doug was a long-time member of the Eagles. He was fun-loving, helpful, generous, kind and would give you the shirt off his back if you asked. He enjoyed playing cards and motorcycling and spending time with friends and family.
Thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses, Home Care and Care Transit who looked after him. Many thanks to everyone who has come forward to offer their help.
