Elgan BROWN

Elgan Bruce (Brownie) Brown passed away March 3, 2005. He was born September 10, 1914. He is survived by his wife Jennie, daughter Carol (Ed), daughter Sharon (Norbert), grandson Erik, sister Doreen, nephew David (Tricia), stepson David (Susan) and family plus numerous other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by wife Laura, brother Lloyd, sister-in-law Dorothy, brother Charles, sister-in-law Verna and stepson Jim. Dad was a farm boy raised in the Qu’appelle valley of Saskatchewan. He served overseas in World War II,seeing action in Holland, Belgium, France, and Germany. Upon return to Canada he and wife Laura moved to Vancouver and raised their family. Dad loved and played baseball well into his 60’s, enjoyed camping and fishing as well as the casinos. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Mountainside Funeral Home in Hope. A private family burial will take place on Monday, March 14, 2005 at 10:00 at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Surrey.

Dad had been ill for many years and is finally at rest. He will be missed.
