Elisabeth DeLair (nee Klassen) would like you to know that her work here is done. She passed away Friday, January 19th, 2018, having filled the years since her birth on July 10th, 1930, with exactly what she wanted, with exactly her own style, and exactly the people she loved.
Betty will be sadly and greatly missed by her loving, devoted husband of almost 67 years, Jack. 'JackandBetty' was one word in our family. Her daughters Patricia (Wayne), Deborah (Peter), Ellen (Herb) and Karen (Blendle) are very grateful to have been endowed with their mother's greatest gift - strength.
Her grandchildren Erin, Ian, Laurel, Summer, Amy, Sara, Jessica, Katie, Becky, Mallory and Caleigh carry an abundance of funny, loving and warm memories to comfort them in their loss. Betty's legacy includes 14 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews too numerous to count, and brothers and sisters who adored their big sister.
We know that Betty was welcomed into Heaven by her youngest daughter, Jeanne, her beloved sisters, Carol and Agatha, her parents, Aron and Katherine Klassen, and her son-on-law, Dennis Brown. The gardens in Heaven will now be just a bit more well-tended.
A celebration of Betty's life will be held Saturday, February 3rd, at 2 pm at Grace Baptist Church, 949 Third Avenue in Hope, B.C.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Children's Hospital.
