Evelyn Helen Choboter (nee Dziaduck) died on July 21, 2005 at the Fraser Canyon Hospital in Hope, B.C. at the age of 63 years. Evelyn is predeceased by her husband, Barry; father, Mike Dziaduck; nephew, Dwayne Hadubiak, and niece, Gail Dziaduck. She is survived by her loving family: daughter Jacqueline Abremski of Vancouver, B.C.; daughter, Shelley Smith; granddaughter, Tianna and grandsons, Eric and Tristin, all of Kelowna, B.C.; mother Olive Dziaduck; sister, Eleanor (Orest) Hadubiak; brother, Julius (Helen) Dziaduck; a niece and several nephews and their families, all of Saskatchewan. Evelyn was born on August 8, 1942 in Canora, SK to Mike and Olive Dziaduck of Tiny, SK. Her early school years were spent in Tiny and then Canora, graduating from high school in 1960. She attended the Saskatoon Business College where she earned her certificate as an Office Assistant. Evelyn and Barry Choboter were married on November 16, 1961. They resided in various cities throughout the Saskatchewan, Alberta, and Manitoba provinces until 1977, when they arrived and stayed in Hope, B.C. She worked as a teller for the Hope branch of the CIBC bank for numerous years until health problems forced her to retire early from the workforce. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, July 25, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church in Hope, B.C., with Prayers held the previous evening, led by Celebrant Father L. MacLennan OMI. She was laid to rest in the Oddfellows Cemetery in Chilliwack, B.C. on the same day of the Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that donations can be made in Evelyn's name to the BC Cancer Agency.
