Frank, 85, Passed away peacefully at Fraser Canyon Hospital on November 27th, 2024. He was born on June 15th, 1939.
Frank is survived by his wife, Barbara, sons Paul (Kelly), Mark (Karen), and his grandchildren Nicola, Rylan, Isaac, Dana, and Keith. Frank was preceded in death by his father William Matthew and his mother Edith Lillian Parker (Laurillard).
Frank graduated from Vancouver College then Vancouver Vocational Institute where he became a Red Seal Carpenter and worked for the Vancouver school maintenance group. In 1963, Frank's Uncle Louis Monroe suggested Frank should pursue teaching. He decided to join the U.B.C. shop teacher's rush program. He trained for one year in the program and took a job for one year in Clinton. Clinton was too far from Vancouver, so he then became a teacher for 34 years in Hope, British Columbia. Frank, retiring in 1999, felt his main achievement was building the Tillicum Workshop in Hope with his construction class.
