Gerald COOPER

April 30, 2007

Gerald "Gary" Cooper

1939 - 2007

Gary Cooper, the best Grandfather, Husband and Dad, passed away suddenly after a brief illness April 30, 2007. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years Wanda, his 3 children Wayne (Jackie), Wendy (Dean), Dale (Treasure), his 6 grandchildren, Winter, Chance, Cayman, Taylor, Travis, and Sara, his mother, two brothers and sister, and appreciatively passed on his traits of making people laugh and lighting up the room to all of his children.

His family and friends will always remember his love of travel both locally and internationally and know he's happy with how much he got to see in the world. His stories will be deeply missed, along with his ability to remove splinters almost painlessly from his children and grandchildren during frequent camping trips. Gary engaged rounds of golf anywhere and seldom missed watching a Canuck's game, and could make light of any situation with his sense of humor and kindness.

Gary was always so proud of his family and especially his Grandchildren, who will always miss their special camping trips with their granddad. He will forever be loved (to the moon and back), cherished and remembered by his family all the time, and will constantly occupy a special place in their hearts. Though he will be terribly missed in all ways, the love from us to him, and from him to us, will never go away, and will still be there in all those moments to come.

In lieu of flowers, donations to B.C. Children's Hospital would be appreciated.
