July 24, 1949 - September 4, 2024
With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Grant "The Coyote"Demmitt. Per his request, we will not be holding service except a small gathering of family to join and celebrate his life and share memories.
Grant grew up and spent his younger years in Laidlaw and was known around the community for his very accurate coyote weather report and falling trees for years in the Boston Bar area. Later in life, Grant and his wife moved to Stave Lake of Mission for a night watch position until retiring to Hope BC to be close to family.
Grant's humor and infectious laugh brought smiles to all. He loved hunting and fishing all throughout his life, gaining many stories and memories along the way. He passed on this passion to his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
In passing, Grant leaves behind his wife, Coleen of 56 years and his two children Ginger (husband, Richard) and Carey (wife, Amanda). His love for family continues with his eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed.
This is the last Coyote Call;
The weather is clear, skies are sunny
