It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Guy Brown.

On February 15, 2019, Guy Brown, 58, of Hope, B.C. passed away surrounded by his family. Born in Dawson Creek, B.C., Guy's family lived in northern B.C. and Saskatchewan before moving to the Lower Mainland. Guy made his home in Hope, B.C. since 1983. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather and he had many, many friends and family.

Guy is survived by his wife Darlene Reid, children Stephine Schick-Adam, Kayla Patterson, Ruby Brown, Abel Brown and Samson Brown. Guy leaves behind six grandchildren Ashlynn, Paige, Hope, Donovan, Tarra and Lexus as well as brothers Terry(Barb) Brown, Dale Brown, Ken(Karen) Brown and sister Opal(Ian) Brown-Folkers. He will be dearly missed by all his family.

Guy was fortunate to work in many industries including West Coast Amusements, owner/operator of D&G Brown's Food Services Ltd, and most recently the Department of Fisheries and Oceans. Guy was a cook at Smitty's in Yale and at the Kettle Valley Restaurant where he met his life partner, Darlene. Guy loved life, he loved nature and he was an honest and caring man. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed camping, hiking and gardening and he taught his children to enjoy the outdoors.

Please join family and friends in a celebration of life for Guy on March 3, 2019 at the Canadian Legion Hall at 1:00 pm, 344 Fort St, Hope BC.
