Ed Neu, 84, of Hope BC died peacefully at Fraser Canyon Hospice on November 21, 2019. Ed was born in Germany and immigrated to Canada at the age of 21. He was a master of many trades including boilermaking, plumbing, gas fitting and welding. He retired in 2000 after 30 years in Plant Services at Surrey Memorial Hospital. He enjoyed many BBQs at our beloved home in Emory Creek with family and friends. He loved Ford trucks, anything mechanical, boxing, classical music, BMW motorcycles and his pets, especially Diesel and Rudy and before that Spark and Heidi.
He is survived by his long time partner Mardi Lowe, his children Karin Neu, Hardy Neu, Tim (Brenda) Neu, and Ted Neu and grandchildren Kira and Ari. He is also survived by Mardi's children Alex Lowe-Heistad (Jolene), and Miranda Lowe-Heistad and grandchildren Owen, Silas and Merida. In addition he is survived by his brother, sisters, numerous nephews, nieces and cousins in Germany.
We would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the friends and family who have supported us at home and in hospice throughout Ed's illness. We would also like to thank the wonderful staff at Fraser Canyon Hospital and Hospice for their support, kindness and special care. There will be no service by request. A gathering will be held in the spring to honour Ed. Memorial donations can be made in Ed's name to the Fraser Canyon Hospice Society.
We love you Ed, and will miss you always. Thank you for your kindness, wisdom and love.
