We are mourning the loss of Henry Clement Weaver who suffered a cardiac arrest on July 7th, 2024, at age 66. He resided in Silver Creek, Hope, British Columbia.
Since 1978 he had learned and apprenticed bronze sculpture as taught by his father, (late) John Barney Weaver Doctor of Laws hc from the University of Alberta. Henry created eight series of bronzes, using his knowledge of horsemanship, martial arts, and both art and military histories. He became President of John Weaver Fine Arts Ltd. in 2012. He and John participated in the Hope Arts Gallery from 1998 until 2013.
He had achieved Petty Officer Second Class in the Edmonton Sea Cadet Corps "Warrior" (1971-1975), and Able Seaman of Canadian Forces Primary Reserve HMCS Nonsuch (1975-1976).
Remembering Henry dearly are his sister, Sara Lesztak; his nephew, Richard Roles and wife, Ginger Roles; and his grand nephews, Ryan, Jordan, and Justin Roles. Henry's wife, Nora Margret, had died of cancer five and a half years before. There will not be a service.
