Ira GRAHAM

Ira Leslie "Les" William Graham passed away on August 25, 2005 at the age of 87 years at the Fraser Canyon Hospital in Hope, B.C. with his family by his side. Les was born in New Westminster, B.C. on April 20, 1918. He and Margaret resided in Hope, BC for most of their time together. Les worked within the Logging and Construction industry throughout B.C. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was awarded a plaque from the Town of Hope in recognition of his contributions to the "Growth and Development of the Community for 50 Years". The Mayor for the District of Hope also recognized Les and Margaret's 60th wedding anniversary with a signed certificate.

Les is survived by his loving family, wife of 64 years: Margaret Jean Graham; sons: Gary (Margaret)Graham and Brian Graham, both of Hope, B.C.; daughter: Jean (Andre) Peterson of Surrey, B.C.; sister: Irene Johnson of Chilliwack, B.C.; brother: Lyle "Buzz" (Ellen) Graham of Hope, B.C.; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 3rd, 2005 @ 1:00 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #228 Hall, 344 Fort Street, Hope, British Columbia with refreshments to follow. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Fraser Canyon Hospital. Their kind care of our Les will not be forgotten.
