It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James (Jim) Clyde on May 31, 2010 at the Fraser Canyon Hospital after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Jim was predeceased by his father and mother, Carson and Audry Clyde of Kingston, Ontario where Jim was born. He is survived by his common-law wife of 18 years Barbara Gilbert, her children Kathy (Dean) and James (Kim). Also his sisters Nancy (Rod), Kimberley, her children Angela and Keri and Janie (Dan) Dinner and her children Andrea and Mark. Also many nieces, nephews and cousins back in Ontario. As well as brothers and sisters of Barbara Bev (Bob), Janet (Kerby), Jim (Sherri) and Les (Kathy). Jim left Kingston,Ontario at a very young age and travelled and worked across Canada until he arrived in Surrey, BC. Jim and Barbara met in 1985 and settled down together in 1993 where he worked and retired from Canada Post. When he retired they moved to Hope, BC where he enjoyed the quite and peacefulness of a small town. Barbara would like to thank all the staff at the Murakami Clinic and especially Dr. Susanne Christie for her concern for Jim during his last days. A special thank-you also goes out to Lorraine, Jacque and Shelley from the Fraser Canyon Hospice. Your support and caring were so important to both of them. Also to all their Eagle brothers andsisters for their concern and caring. Jim you will be sadly missed but now you are at peace. There will be no service by request.
