March 24, 1951 - March 16, 2022
The family of Janis Letourneau (nee Corbett) are saddened to announce her sudden passing on March 16, 2022, at home in Hope, BC.
She leaves behind to mourn, her mother, Joann, brother Patrick (Lora), children Michelle (Mike), Jeff (Darcy), Pam (Ryan), Scott (Tyler), nephew Cale, and her grandchildren Griffin, Neleah, Arnica, Liam, Arden and Brody, and her loving dog Molly. Janis was predeceased by her father, Vern.
Janis was born March 24, 1951, in Chilliwack, BC. She went to school in Hope, BC and spent most of her working career as a ticket agent at BC Ferries at Bear Cove and Tsawwassen for 30 years. Once retired, she returned to Hope to garden, tend to animals, and read her books. She was a strong and creative presence who enjoyed being outdoors rock hunting, road tripping with her dog and friends, and exploring the many beautiful areas close to home.
Life with Mom was never dull and always full of personal proverbs to pass along for any situation even if the situation may or may not be perilous. "Just Be Cool" would be the best fitting motto for her. Janis will be remembered fondly, sorely missed and forever loved.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Janis's name may be made to the Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society (MARS)
The Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
