BOOTH, Jean

It is with much regret that the family of Jean Booth announce her passing on July 10, 2016 at the Fraser Canyon Hospital. Born in 1928 to William (Bill) and Ethel Bellamy near Viscount, Saskatchewan, Jean was the 8th child of 11 children. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Johnson, four sons, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was a loving, caring mother who taught us what were the most important things in life, especially spending time with family. We are grateful for the hospice program in Hope so that family were able to be with her when she passed.

The family would like to thank staff at the Adult Day Program that Jean enjoyed going to when her health was better. In addition, we would like to express our appreciation for the home care support staff that were so helpful after Jean's health deteriorated in August of 2015, and she required care 24-7.

The family would also like to thank Dr. Green and the nurses and staff at the Fraser Canyon Hospital, as well as the Hospice staff and volunteers. We also appreciated Jean's friends visiting with her while she was in the hospital.

Words alone cannot express the gratitude we feel for the care and support we have received.

A celebration of Jean's life will be held at the Legion Hall, 344 Fort St, Hope BC on Sunday August 14 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Fraser Canyon Hospice or Hope Legion would be appreciated.
