September 19, 1972 - June 4, 2018
Jeffrey Warren Rigby, born in Hope B.C., to Dorothy and Warren Rigby on September 19th 1972, sadly left us July 4th, 2018. He always loved the stars, and never missed a chance to point out Orion, as he lay under them with his family. Now he is among them.
He will forever be remembered for his signature, boisterous laugh, his meticulous thoughtfulness, and the perfect curl of his smile. As a child he loved watching his mom sing in the car, and racing home on his bike to her chocolate chip cookies. He often reminisced about his father, and how he would take him fishing, swimming, and with him to work on a Saturday. Perhaps, where the seed was first planted for his strong work ethic. His coworkers say he would not be out worked, which rang true when he strapped on his hockey skates as well.
His love for music was deep, though his love for friends and family ran deeper. Music unlocked the pieces of him, we all craved more of. Now he is the music. We can remember him in the familiar beats, and for a moment his laughter returns to our ears, and his spirit echos in our hearts. His loss has left us breathless.
Jeff was predeceased by his father, Warren Kent Rigby. He is survived by his children, who love him desperately, Solomon, Sophia and Judah Rigby, and their mom Joanna Rigby.
He is also survived by his loving mom, Dorothy Placido and her husband Mac. His sisters Janice Roen (Roland), and Julie Willock (Brad), who will miss everything about their brother, even the constant pranks. He leaves behind nieces and nephews Garrett Steeves, Linden Willock (Kim), Morgann Steeves, Leigh-Anne Marie Bishop and Meagan Breckner (Kyle), who will always remember him as the coolest uncle that ever was.
You threw your axe Jeff. You gave it all you got, and hoped it would stick. So much did. We love you always.
Celebration of Life to be held at 62504 Airport Rd, on Sunday July 29 from 11 am - 2 pm.
