John Richard Kellum passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday September 2nd, 2024, at Fraser Canyon Hospital in his 96th year.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Barbara, John is survived by his son Larry (Kay) and daughter Linda (Wayne), grandchildren David (Miranda), Clayton (Amelia), Michael and Kayla (Duncan), and a large extended family and many great grandchildren who he treasured and loved.

John was a dedicated volunteer who was a founding member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Hope Aerie #2690, a social club dedicated to fundraising for local charities and community groups. Using his own heavy equipment and along with a crew of volunteers, the Eagle's Hall was built and has stood in Hope since the early 1970's.

Truly committed to the Eagle's motto of "People Helping People" John believed in volunteering to give back to his community. He was a lifelong member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows with five generations of his family serving their mission dedicated "to help make the world a better place."

The Kellum family gratefully extends special thanks to the Fraser Health and Palliative Care teams and Better At Home services for the professional and compassionate aid provided to our beloved Patriarch.

John's legacy is one of strong family ties and community service.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
