One of Johnnie's greatest achievements was painting the longest and tallest bridge in Lethbridge, AB with only ropes as his support, as well as doing it all by himself. He was a professional Truck driver for many years and enjoyed passing this profession on to his sons by teaching them the trade at a very young age. In his younger years he enjoyed entertaining people by yodeling at dances, and at home on the farm he loved to break wild horses. His greatest pride and joy came from raising his large, loving family.

The Traditional Service was held on Wednesday, July 26, 2006 @ 2:00 p.m. at the Grace Baptist Church, 949 3rd Avenue, Hope, B.C., with Pastor Jeff Kuhn officiating and a Reception followed in the Church Hall. A Viewing was held at Mountainside Funeral Home & Crematorium on the same date at 12:00 p.m., after which the Burial took place in the Mountainview Cemetery in Hope, B.C.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that donations can be made to the Fraser Hope Lodge, in Johnnie's memory.
