Jon Alten Stewart

Jon Stewart passed away peacefully on August 4, 2019 at Abbotsford BC at the age of 85.
Jon is survived by his life partner of 23 years Deanna Thokle, his daughter Melody (Neil) Froc with granddaughter Melissa (Kevin) Geddert including great grandchildren Rhaea, Edgerin and Vienna, granddaughter Angela (Chad) Goertzen including great grandchildren Maddison, Adriel, Westin and Yale, granddaughter Brittany (Michah) Galmut, and grandsons Sheldon and Aaron, his son Robert Stewart with grandson Michael (Erin) including great grandchildren Sofi and Evelyn, and grandson Jonathan.
His surviving siblings included Margaret, Mary Lee, Paula and Glen (Faye) with several nieces and nephews.
Jon was predeceased by his father Alva Atakopus Stewart, his son Jon, his brothers Tim and Alva and his mother Myrtle.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday August 24 at the Eagles Hall, 386 Fort St., Hope BC
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fraser Canyon Hospice Society or a charity of your choice.
