HOPE, Lawrence John
March 10, 1926 - January 10, 2009
It is with profound sadness that we announce that Lawrence Hope, of Yale, passed away January 10, 2009 with his family by his side.
Lawrence was a great mentor and friend to many. He will be missed dearly and will stay in our hearts forever.
Lawrence was born in Seabird Island but raised in the Fraser Canyon. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most importantly to him, his growing family.
Lawrence is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Elsie Hope, sister: Helen Angus, sons: Andrew (Lorelie), Theodore (Juanita), Robert (Sharon), David, Evert (Kathy), Larry, and Perry, daughters: Jane, Beatrice (Gary), and Maureen (Dave). He is also survived by many grand-children, great-grand-children, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A Prayer Service will be held at the Yale First Nation Government Centre on Wed. Jan. 14, 2009 at 7 pm. A Memorial Service will be held at the same location on Thurs. Jan. 15, 2009 at 11:30 am.
