Linda "Lynne" Hatcher

April 9, 1946 - December 6, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Linda (Lynne) Jean Abney Hatcher on December 6, 2019. She was born on April 9, 1946 and lived in Hope for the last 30+ years.
Lynne was predeceased by her husband Wally, mother Shirley, brother John and sister Pattie. She is survived by her sons: Clifford and Steven (Mandi), her granddaughter Ashley, great grandson Lawsen and step grandson Trystan. Lynne is also survived by her longtime companion Terry Fischer and best friends Sharon and Larry Green.
Lynne worked for The Province newspaper for many years. She had recently retired from the City of Chilliwack as Matron for the Chilliwack RCMP detachment. She had also worked in the Agassiz detachment and considered herself a Mom to all her "detachment" kids. Lynne had a great love of animals, especially her dogs. They were her babies. She loved camping, travelling and spending time with her friends and family. Her most recent trip being to New Brunswick to visit Steven and his family in 2018.
Lynne had a very infectious laugh and when she got going you couldn't help but laugh yourself. She was very kind and quick to help others in need.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday December 20 at 1 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall, 344 Fort St., Hope BC.
Lynne you will be deeply missed and always loved.
