December 7, 1919 - October 31, 2018
The Verbeck family is sad to announce the passing of Margaret Edythe Verbeck (nee Argue) on October 31, 2018 in Agassiz, BC age 98.

Loved ones that cleared a path for Edythe are her beloved husband Cy (1984), her cherished daughter Sandy Allan (2013), her little dog Abby (2016) and her many family members. Loved ones that will miss her until they meet again are daughters Janice Lynn Verbeck of Vernon, BC; Maureen Collis of Didsbury Alberta; her much loved and adored nephew (more like a son) Doug Argue of North Vancouver; granddaughter Lisa Collis-Martens and great-granddaughter Katie Martens, both of Edmonton Alberta and her son-in-law Don Allan of Chilliwack.

Mom lived an amazing life and, for 70 years, was an active volunteer in her adopted community of Hope BC. She gave generously of her time to the Red Cross, fall fair and Eastern Star. She was renowned for her gardening, cooking, crafts, devotion of faith and church and her much loved pets. Her favourite times were at the cottage on Green Lake in the Cariboo. There she was surrounded by her love of nature, fishing and her loving family and friends.

A celebration of Mom's life will take place in the spring of 2019.

As an expression of sympathy, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Scleroderma Assoc. of B.C. (research) or the charity of your choice.

"A mother holds your hand for a while and your heart forever." Until we meet again.
