February 2, 1944 - December 1, 2022
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Hunsbedt. She passed away peacefully on December 1, 2022 at the age of 78.
Margaret was born on February 2, 1944 in South Shields, England and came to Canada as a small child on the Queen Mary with her mother and sister, Teri. She grew up in the Vancouver area before meeting/marrying the love of her life, Stephen. They married in 1962 and had 3 children.
In the early 1970s Stephen and Margaret moved to Hope where they lived and retired. When Stephen passed away in 2012 Margaret re-located to Chilliwack to be closer to some of her children/grandchildren.
Margaret loved everything Elvis and never missed an opportunity to hit the casino to play slots and Keno. "Lady Luck" always seemed to be on her side. She also loved traveling, camping and fishing with her husband Stephen and had a passion for knitting, computer games, sewing, reading, and crosswords.
Her generosity, love, and incredible spirit will never be forgotten.
Our hearts are broken at the unexpected passing of our mother, nannie, sister, aunt, and friend.
Margaret is survived by her daughter Lynda, her son James (LeeAnn), her daughter Sharran (Jason), 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, her brother Bob (Loraine), her sister Pat (Kevin), her sister Susan (Lorn), her sister Marion (Al) and many other extended family members.
A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Alison Henry, Carol Miller, and the staff at Bevan Village for their love, support, care and compassion.
