PHILLIPS, Marie Grace
After a courageous 3 year long battle with cancer, Marie Phillips passed away peacefully on January 26, 2009 at the Fraser Canyon Hospital with her daughters Barb and Pat by her side. Marie was 69 years old.
Marie is survived by her loving husband, Herman, 3 daughters; Barb (Morgan Wood) Campbell of North Bend, June (Lorne) Alexander of Edmonton and Pat Bouliane of Boston Bar, 5 grandchildren; Maria, Kaleb, Shelley, Rachel and Sheldon, 3 great grandchildren; Lesley, Cheyenne and Kay, 1 brother; Jim (Mary Ann) Florence, 1 sister; Dorothy Barnes, and extended family; Jordan (Josie) Pindera, Don (Wendy) Florence, Guy, Paul and Howard Florence.
Marie was predeceased by her parents; Tom (Lynn) Florence and Lillian (Doug) Christie, sister; Barbara Florence, brother; John Jentry, 2 sons; Fredrick and Alan, and 2 grandchildren; Lesley and Derrick.
A Memorial Service will be held on February 7, 2009 at 11 am at Our Lady of Good Hope Roman Catholic Church, 671 Water Ave. Hope, BC with Father Peter Altamirano officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hope Hospice Society.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bradley and all the nurses at the Fraser Canyon Hospital for the love and gentle care they gave to Marie. Thank you to nurses Shirley Dunlevy and Diane McDougall, to all the members of the Hope Hospice Society, to Dr. Lee, of the Surrey Cancer Clinic, to Dr. Goodman and to Dr. Perks.
