Passed Away August 29, 2010 at Hope, British Columbia

Born in Saskatchewan and raised in Ft. William, Ontario, Paul was the second eldest of four children. After marrying in 1944 and moving to BC in 1945, Paul traveled all across the province helping to establish BC's highway system. Even after retirement, Paul was frequently called upon to lend his considerable abilities to new construction projects. He finally settled in Hope where he lived for over 60 years. A loving husband, a caring and supportive father, and a proud grandfather, Paul lived life with a strength of spirit that touched all who met him. In both his work life and at home, Paul's good humour, wit and indomitable work ethic were an inspiration. Paul's natural curiosity and timeless vitality will always be missed. He is survived by his daughter Sandra Wilkinson, grandson Nicholas Wilkinson, nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was predeceased by wife Marie Krasniuk, son Ron Krasniuk, mother and father Irena and Mike Krasniuk, brothers John (Rose) and Vic (Rose) Krasniuk, and sister Anne (Wilfrid) Chicoine.

Paul's family would like to extend a special thanks to Laurie St-Amour for her help in caring for Paul in his final years.

A Memorial and Reception Service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 11, 2010 at Mountainside Funeral Home Chapel, 1270 Ryder St, Hope, BC, when family and friends will gather to celebrate Paul's life.
