ODENDAHL, Ralph Thomas


On December 15, 2016 at the age of 84, Ralph Thomas Odendahl passed away peacefully at the Fraser Hope Lodge in Hope, BC. He is survived by his brother Richard (Chris) of Rockhampton, Australia, 3 children: Raymond (Sharon), Roberta (Dan) Weir, and Russell (Marguerite). Ralph was married twice and remained friends with both Doris and Dolores and his step children, Susan and Michael. He was predeceased by his step daughter Christine. He will be sadly missed by all his family and their children. As a young man he worked in the foundry at Britannia followed by 45 years as a railway engineer with Pacific Great Eastern Railway and British Columbia Railway. He was actively involved with the Masonic Lodge and a Grand Representative in the Eastern Star. Having a thirst for knowledge, his passion for learning knew no boundaries and he was always up for intellectual discussions. Thank you to the staff at the Fraser Hope Lodge for taking tender care of Ralph in his final years. Service will be held at Martin Brothers Funeral Home in Hope BC on December 28th at 1:00 pm followed at a later date by a private burial at the Lillooet Cemetery.


Good bye my father... my friend, may you rest in peace and always have a surplus of fresh raw onions.
