Red BUDINSKY

October 20, 2006

It is with great sadness and love to announce Fred passed away peacefully on Oct. 20, 2006 after a long battle with leukemia.

Born in Insinger, Sask. on March 29, 1928. He was predeceased by his father: Nicholas, mother: Mary, brothers: Bill and John, sister: Olga, and his first wife Molly.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife: Bev, stepsons: Scott and Tray Neilson, brothers: Mat and Mel, sisters: Anne, Irene, Isabel, Kay, Jean, Marion, Sylvia, and his beloved dog and companion Lucy who misses him dearly. Fred lived in Hope for 25 years. His kindness & generosity was felt by everyone he knew and met. He was a true gentleman and a gentle man. Fred had a passion for golf and loved to win at blackjack.

He came back out of retirement to work for his friend Bud at Gardner Chev Olds for 20 years.

In lieu of flowers, you are encouraged to pick up where Fred has left off. He understood the power in simple acts of kindness. Gestures, courtesies and kind words were shared with those close to him and with strangers. To honour him tomorrow and in the weeks and months ahead, simply make someone's day a little easier. The lasting impact of these "random acts of kindness" will be Fred's legacy.

Out of respect for Fred's wishes there will be no service.

Family extends thanks to Dr. Botha and the awesome nurses and staff for the outstanding care and compassion Fred received in Fraser Canyon Hospital.

Fred will be deeply missed by all.
