Richard Graham

Richard Graham MacDonald passed away on March 13, 2008 in Hope, B.C. at the age of 90 years. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Emma Merel and his grandson, Scott James Bowra.

Richard is survived by his loving family: daughter, Diane (Jim) Bowra; son, Bill MacDonald; grandchildren, Dean (Torie) Bowra and Crystal Bowra; and 3 great grandchildren, Nicole, Stephanie and Demee.

Richard's many interests included sailing, steam powered engines, home built airplanes, reading, history, and visiting museums. He was a Boy Scout Leader back in Ontario in his grandfathering years. His favorite ship was The Blue Nose Schooner.

A Memorial Service was held on Monday, March 17, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at the Christ Anglican Church, 681 Fraser Avenue, Hope, B.C. with Reverend Gail Newell as Officiate. A Reception followed the Service in the Church Hall. A Burial will take place in Maitland Cemetery, Goderich, ON at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC & Yukon, Tri-Cities / Fraser Valley Office, #100-2232 McAllistar Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. V3C 2A5 or the Vancouver Maritime Museum, ATTEN: Annamaria, 1905 Ogden, Vancouver, B.C. V6J 1A3, in Richard's name.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Park Street Manor, Dr. L. Fourie, and the staff of the Fraser Canyon Hospital.
