With heavy hearts our family shares the announcement that Theresa Spiess (Montalbetti) on the morning of December 21, 2005 at Hope, B.C. passed on. A strong, loving and caring heart her memory will be cherished by husband, John Spiess; son, Joseph John Kroczynski; stepchildren, Sarah and Cam Spiess; mother, Doris Montalbetti; mother-in-law, Carrie Slavoczky; and brothers, Raymon and David Montalbetti. Born in Saskatoon April 24, 1958 she was always a prairie girl who loved music and children. Her favourite times were those as a daycare worker and her years as a piano and flute teacher. A former student sent us these words: “She left me the gift of knowing how to play the piano. I will keep it up and play for her.” She will be dearly missed by the many new friends and caregivers that touched her life in Hope. We appreciate their generous and unselfish care. For all of us it was her gentle acts of everyday kindness that guide us. We love you Theresa.
There was a Memorial Service that was held Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Mountainside Funeral Home Chapel at 10:00 a.m. with Reverend Ken Wotherspoon officiating. This Memorial Service was held for her friends that she had made in Hope. Another Memorial Service was held in Saskatoon Thursday, December 29, 2005 at St. Philip Neri Church at 11:00 a.m. Internment took place in Woodlawn Cemetery after the service.
