JACKSON, Thomas
Tom Jackson of Hope, BC passed away peacefully in Chilliwack General Hospital, September 1, 2007 with his family present.
Tom was born May 29, 1922 in Chilliwack. He worked for many years in the logging industry and in the construction industry.
Tom was predeceased by his wife Alice, his son Barry, his parents and all his brothers and sisters.
His is survived by three daughters; Sharon Harper of Langley, Robyn Winterhalt (Lesley Kopp) of Lloydminster, SK and Barbra Jackson of Hope. His five grandchildren; Myra Lightfoot (Darrell) of Black Creek, BC, Rod Williams (Janine) of Nanaimo, BC, Evan and Ryan Winterhalt of Lloydminster, SK and Briar Nelson of Mission, BC. His three great grandchildren, Tiffany and Tailynn Lightfoot of Black Creek, BC and Jesica Williams of Nanaimo. Sisters in law Margaret Lapointe (Barry) and Helen Jackson. Also many nieces and nephews.
At his request no funeral was held. However, the long weekend in September had the whole "Jackson" clan together for a family reunion and in spirit Dad was there. If friends so desire donations can be made to the charity of their choice.
