It is with much sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Lee Clausen on November 18, 2017 at the age of 88 in Hope BC. She was born Verlie Margaret Mareck in Provost, Alberta, on October 14, 1929.

Lee trained as a practical nurse and moved to Hope in 1955. Lee met her husband, Len and for over 60 years they were pillars of the Hope community. Together they operated Len's Wheel Alignment and after retiring enjoyed travelling throughout the North American continent.

The "First Lady of Park Street" was always social; acting as a sorority member of the Beta Sigma Phi, volunteer with the Canyon Golden Agers, curler, bowler and bridge player.

Sister, Mother, Grandmother, GG and Auntie, Lee will be remembered for her sense of humour and her love for neighbours, friends and family.

She was predeceased by her husband Len and will be deeply missed by her daughter Lori, son-in-law Lionel, grandchildren Chelsea and Clayton, "great grandchildren", Josiah, Eli and Nyah, extended family and her many close Hope community friends and neighbours.

A special thank you to the home support workers, Doctor Grover and Staff at Fraser Canyon Hospital, Tom Esler and Park Street neighbours who's love, care and friendship allowed Lee to live her last years with dignity and comfort.

Donations to Fraser Canyon Hospice Society at Fraser Canyon Hospital would be greatly appreciated.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 12 at the Hope Golf and Country Club.
