BRADLEY, William Douglas Warren

Feb. 22, 1943-Nov. 2, 2009

Much loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away gently, surrounded by his family. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Formerly of Delta, BC, he retired to Hope 5 years ago. Over the 35 years he worked as a steel fabricator/welder, he was employed by Elliot Steel, George Third, and Wellons Canada (formerly Salton). In his short time in Hope he made many friends and was active in the Community. A long time member of BCHRA, he loved old cars and took great pleasure in building his shop and taking his 1928 Model A (acquired in Hope) in the Brigade Days Parade and to the local car shows. He was also active in the Summer Road Ratepayers, lending his skills to improving their small water system. Always ready with a helping hand, his neighbors will miss his skills with a snow blower this winter. It is said the measure of a life well lived is that you leave the world a better place than you found it and he did.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Switzer, the Doctors and Nurses at Fraser Canyon Hospital, and especially Hope Hospice Society for making his final days a peaceful journey. In lieu of flowers, we request donations to Hope Hospice Society or Canadian Cancer Society.
