True, we’ve escaped the global recession for now, but that maybe more in spite of, rather than because of, our political leaders. After all, the land is still strong and rich in resources.

On behalf of the Heart and Stroke Foundation Tri-Cities/Fraser Valley area office, I would like to offer heartfelt thanks to the people of Hope for their continuing support of the foundation during Heart Month.

While our first Hope For Kids Charity Children’s Swap Meet was not too successful in numbers, it was successful in the numbers of businesses and people able to connect and interact with one another.

Having a voice is often a first step to affecting change.

I was recently babysitting my granddaughter and, not being used to taking a baby about town, I put my purse on the back of my car as I put the baby into her car seat. Then I just drove away.
