Carly Ferguson is a thrill seeker, but Thursday afternoon proved a new level of excitement for the Black Press publisher, who jumped out of an airplane in Abbotsford.
But don’t worry — she was in safe hands. The Canadian Armed Forces’ parachute demonstration troupe took a few lucky representatives of Lower Mainland media up 12,000 feet in a plane before dropping — or, in Ferguson’s case, flipping — them out the back.
Three members of the media, including two television reporters and Ferguson – group publisher for the Abbotsford News, Mission City Record, Hope Standard and Agassiz Harrison Observer – were taken on tandem jumps with members of the SkyHawks parachute team.
And for all brave souls who dared take the leap, there was no shortage of thrills.
