The Ride to Conquer Cancer is just getting started in Hope, and it’s time to learn how to get involved.
Last year was the first time the ride ended here, and it’s going to be back again this year, Aug. 29-30. It’s a massive, two-day cycling event that requires riders, supporters and volunteers. It also takes time to train for the grueling, 200-plus km trek from Cloverdale to Hope.
But it’s all worth, say those who do it.
Past participants and organizers will be on hand at an open house on Feb. 13, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Blue Moose in Hope. Anyone with questions about how to get involved with the Ride to Conquer Cancer is welcome to drop in.
