It’s time for the best drive-through breakfast of the year.
Every winter, the Fraser Valley Health Care Foundation (FVHCF) teams up with local restaurants for their It’s a Wonderful Breakfast fundraiser, across the eastern Fraser Valley.
In Hope, the event takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 29 at the A&W on Old Hope Princeton Way. Breakfast is available for $15 for one person, or $50 for a carload.
Those hoping to attend will need to book a time slot and pay in advance through the foundation’s website under Events. Various times are available in 30 minute time slots between 7 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
Similar events are being held in early December in Mission, Chilliwack and Abbotsford. It’s possible that Santa Claus drops in to the events, as well, the foundation says in a press release.
Money raised at It’s a Wonderful Breakfast and other foundation events are used to fill wish lists at the region’s four hospitals. In addition to helping raise funds, the breakfast is a time to donate toys and gifts for children and young teens who are in hospital over the holidays.
There is a wish list available on the event page, but top items include games, puzzles, books, gift cards and tickets to activities such as theatres, water parks or bowling. Plush toys and teddy bears are not needed and will not be accepted.
