One Hope organization and a big contractor are helping the local Legion replace some important equipment.

The Hope Lions Club has committed $2,000 to the Hope Branch 228 Legion Memorial Hall toward a new air conditioning and heating unit.

Macro Pipelines, one of the companies under contract for the local Trans Mountain Expansion Project, is looking to raise funds for the Legion as well. At this point, the Hope Legion is receiving funding to repair the Memorial Hall’s roof, but this funding does not cover the replacement of the heating and cooling unit.

“We’re looking to ‘raise the roof’ with community donations to support the Legion Hall,” reads an announcement from Macro.

Those interested in donating to the cause may contact the Legion directly at 604-869-5465 or get in touch with Jen Platman of Macro Pipelines at 403-464-9691 or email jplatman@macropipelines.ca.
