Fiddler Kelli Trottier brings her cross-Canada tour to Hope on March 24 for a performance at the Station House starting at 7:30 p.m.

Fiddler Kelli Trottier will be stopping by the Hope Station House on Monday as part of her cross-country tour.

She blends traditional Celtic, contemporary country, folk, bluegrass and western swing with her crisp fiddle, angelic voice and fiery step dance.

Born and raised in the hotbed of musical tradition and innovation that is Ontario’s Ottawa Valley, Trottier discovered her passion for entertaining, learned her craft, and developed her distinctive style. Her talent now carries her to stages across North America, Europe, Middle East and the Far North.

Trottier has toured much of the world with the sensational Bowfire entourage as one of their select virtuoso fiddlers. Bowfire is considered to be one of the finest lineups of fiddle and violin virtuosi ever assembled on one stage.

Trottier has released nine independent recordings and been nominated three times for Fiddle Player of the Year by the Canadian Country Music Association. She has also played for the NHL, performed for Canadian soldiers in the Middle East and the Canadian arctic, and was invited to perform for Sir Sean Connery’s private 80th birthday celebration in the Bahamas. In addition to her extensive performing experience, Trottier continues to be a highly sought-after instructor and judge of fiddle and step dance events across Canada and parts of the U.S.

On March 24, Trottier will be accompanied by Greg Simm, a mainstay on the Nova Scotia music scene for over 30 years. He has performed with artists as diverse as Denny Doherty, Lennie Gallant, Natalie MacMaster, Old Man Ludecke and Gordon Stobbe.

Trottier’s concert takes place at the Hope Station House starting at 7:30 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Tickets are available at Hope Pharmasave for $20. Admission includes intermission snacks and beverages.
